The view and pool were just amazing! We loved having our own terrace equipped with a hammock, chairs and a little salon table. This gave us some extra privacy when we wanted to have a glass of wine at our room.
Hotel Arcangelo fully exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful location with stunning views of the sea and mountain from the decks, dining areas and many of the rooms. There are trees with lemons and little oranges all around the property. The location feels like a remote oasis but is just a few minutes walk to the village and waterfront where we had several great meals. One day we took the local bus and had a great tour of the island. During a couple of rainstorms we enjoyed the dramatic weather from a lovely covered porch (with a hammock). Breakfast was excellent and the woman in charge makes a fresh lemon marmalade that is reason enough to return again. From this location you can easily take day trips to the other islands. The owner and staff were terrific.
If authentically local is what you’re seeking, this hotel is it! A perfect combination of character and comfort. Highly recommend, especially room number 4! Staff is very friendly too.
It’s a short walk up from port, but there are steps to consider if you have heavy luggage.
Loved our stay at Arcangelo! We originally planned to stay for only 3 nights but decided to extend for two more nights. The rooms were comfortable and private. The grounds were beautiful and we loved to sit by the pool and enjoy the view in the evening.
